I love the colors she uses and how she was able to create a collage of such different ideas, almost weaving them together, while still maintaining a sense of unity as her inspiration Fiona Rae does in her work below.

I like how Fiona incorporates the different mediums such as the lines of thread that dart through the picture.  Her work is a great example of layering and collage with all the ideas running through one another in the piece yet all the parts of the collage are necessary and really bring the work together as one whole, finished piece.

Untitled Sit By: Wangechi Mutu 

The piece was very bizarre and the odd textures caught my eye.  It's rather creepy and distorted in ways most people wouldn't think of.  I like all of the strange patterns she uses in this piece, especially in the main figure.  I also like the mood of the picture which is set by the shaded gray, red splattered background and the lighting.  I also like how you are drawn into the picture with the bright orangey yellows and reds present in the sitting figure.
